Y'all, I can't even begin to explain how amazing this place is! It was awesome. The tent was SO spacious! I had not realized we had a fridge in the tent (my husband made the reservation) so I brought a cooler as well- but you don't need one! The tent also had lights, an air conditioner and outlets. The inside of the tent is beautiful- the bed was at least as comfortable as my temperpedic at home. It was twice as large as most hotel rooms. Our teenage son had no complaints about the sofa bed. The grill is propane and was easy to use. We had thought it was charcoal and I was dreading having to get it going, propane was provided and it lit right up. We didn't buy firewood when we made our reservation - I wish we had because we were too tired to leave on our first night but there is a couple of grocery stores close by and we were able to buy wood there. It does have a little single burner on the side of it, next time I might have brought a little frying pan for eggs and bacon. My only suggestions might be to put a side table lamp beside the bed and maybe some hooks beside the door for hanging towels, I felt bad leaving them on the coffee table but didn't know where else to put them. We had a fantastic experience and I'm making plans for us to come back next spring to stay in Dome 4!

Thank you so much for these kind words! We are so glad ya'll enjoyed your stay :)

Perfect Getaway!

I stayed in the Safari Tent for 3 nights for a much needed business/personal retreat. It was perfect! It rained a lot during my stay, but the tent was cozy and dry. Love the decor, and the bed is extremely comfortable. I didn't need to use the ac much, but was glad for it the few hours I did. I love the edison lights inside and out - such a great touch! The whole site is well kept and so peaceful. The fireflies were amazing! And while my fire-lighting skills were not up to the task after all the rain, having the fire pit and grill make it really self-sufficient. We'll definitely be back for a couple's getaway soon!

yay!!! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience here :) hope to have you again soon!

The Hunters
Camping 2.0

Stayed in this tent with our two kids on our first family “camping trip”. We’ve been wanting to introduce our kids to a overnight camping trip for a while but worried it would be complete chaos with having to set up and take down camp— Asheville Glamping was perfect for us. The tent was beautiful, the bed and pull out was comfortable, and we appreciated the convenience of electricity and an actual refrigerator over a cooler! S’mores over the fire pit were the highlight of our weekend along with taking the boys fishing up the road on the French broad river. The only thing that could have been better would have been a coffee maker in the tent.

What we needed

We were referred to Asheville Glamping by friends who stayed here last year. We were so excited to get a weekend in the Safari tent and were not disappointed. It is all self check in so make sure to follow the directions they send you- it's easy to find. We had some issue getting the outside lights working (ended up being a tripped breaker) owner was quick to respond to our voicemail and Patrick was so nice! When he came to look at the lights he saw us struggling to get out fire lit (we are NOT girl scouts) and he got it started for us. Really enjoyed talking with him and have a ton of respect for how hard these people work! This place is amazing! Now inside the tent- it's exactly as pictured and that Queen sized bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. It was me and my best friend so we ended up sharing the queen. There is also a pull out sofa bed, but we just kept it folded up. The tent has lights- though it would have been nice to have some bed side lights that you could turn off from bed. The tent stayed completely dry when it poured rain on our second night and it was cool hearing the rain fall on the "roof". Highly recommend staying here!

Mark and Erin
had a wonderful time

My husband is a camper and I'm more of a hotel kind of woman, so Asheville Glamping was our compromise. The tent cabin was beautiful and really exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back!

Where have you been my whole life?

I've been following Asheville Glamping on instagram since the start and finally had the chance to visit---I am so in love! This tent was everything! Did I just walk into a Pinterest photo or what? The tent was nice and cool when we arrived with the AC on- which was pretty cool considering it was 82 degrees out when we arrived. We didn't even realize it had AC so expecting a hot tent and getting a nice chilled one was an unexpected bonus!! The bed was super comfy and just everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! We can not wait to come back to try another site. Thank you!
