There are no weekends left open in 2020 at Dome 3- as of June 10th there are just 16 weeknights available (one in september the rest in November and December) . Currently accepting bookings through November 21st 2021. Please check rates section for rates by date. We recommend booking a year in advance for weekends to guarantee your dates are available and at least 6 months for weeknights.

We still have a handful of weekdays open in September and beyond that are filling FAST- if you have your heart set on a weekend and have 4 people or less also check out our newest group/family dome for 2020 that just hit our website- weekends will go fast here too: DOME 6

Please note that you  must enter in at least 2 nights into the Search Dates fields in order  to see availability--3 nights on holiday weekends. Example: Since we have a two night minimum, if you enter in one night it will appear  as if nothing is open (like check in June 1 and check out June 2) you  must change the check out date one or more days beyond the check in date  in order to see openings. We accept one night bookings only when there  is a one night gap between two other reservations. If you'd like to book  a single night just check the availability calendar to find those single nights.

Our biggest and best glamping site yet- Our 36 ft Dome! This is our largest Dome out of our three domes and it features 4x the interior space of our original Dome at over 1300 sq feet with a 20 ft high ceiling in the center. The sunrise view over the mountains is absolutely beautiful!

We listened to our guests feedback in order to come up with the ultimate glamping site! This family friendly glamping site sleeps up to 8 guests in 2 Queen beds and 2 pull outs and has amazing mountain views! Sheets and bedding provided for the two beds- bring sheets if you will be using the pull out sofa beds- pillows and blankets for pull outs provided. (note we only allow the maximum occupancy at each site- this site sleeps 8 and kids are included in the head count- we do not allow extra adults or kids in sleeping bags etc)

Sleeping Loft with stairway to access and 9 ft slide to come back down for use by both kids and adults! (yes, you read that correctly:)

There is a refrigerator, outlets and a Keurig but no kitchen or bathroom in the Dome itself as we are not allowed to plumb them.

You will need to bring your own drinking water as there is no running water inside the Dome. There is a propane grill on site.

For convenience at night so you don't have to walk there is a spotless portajohn that is only for this site's use (cleaner than any overflowing portajohn you have ever used so please don't think of a poor experience you had at a sporting event, concert etc). There is a shared rustic bath house in the center of our property with hot showers and real toilets to use.

If you are booking for winter keep in mind that the inside temp of the dome will be cold. There are heated blankets to help you sleep cozy!

Payment- This is  one of our "pay less up front" sites. 50% is due to reserve your dates at booking.  The other 50% is  automatically charged to your credit card 150 days prior to check in.

****Note: This is our only site with no fire pit for a reason. Being on the high ridge of our property for excellent mountain views means it is also exposed to winds. Wind can carry embers up to the dome skin. Please do not bring portable fire pits etc to this site as there are no campfires allowed around this dome. There is a group fire pit in the center of the property for guest use.

Important: We do not allow bug spray or aerosol to be sprayed inside the dome as it destroys the vinyl. You will be charged if insect repellent or any spray or product of any kind is used on the dome skin or windows.

*NOTE HOLIDAY WEEKENDS REQUIRE A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY AND INCLUDE MEMORIAL DAY, 4TH OF JULY, AND LABOR DAY WEEKENDS, if you enter in two dates during this time period the search will show no results, you must enter 3 nights to see results over the holiday weekends.

PLEASE READ OUR FAQ BEFORE BOOKING! This is required reading so if you do not want to read it, please do not book :) Our FAQ describes our cancellation policy along with exactly what we offer so you can arrive with accurate expectations.

Birthday stay!

Came here to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday in Asheville! We are from Florida and she lives in Charlotte so I was very excited when I found out about you guys! The dome was everything we hoped it would be + the view is PERFECTION! It was cold in Asheville when we visited at the end of November and the heated blankets kept us warm, but we didn’t do as much hiking as I would of liked because a few of the girls in our group are wimps 😆 So this just means I have to come visit again with just my husband so we can hike on the blue ridge parkway! Thank you for a fantastic weekend!

Definition of glamping

My husband and I can not say enough great things about this place! We stayed here for three nights with our two sons and we all enjoyed our time in the mega dome. It was a wonderful bit of respite from our normal every day lives. The tent/ dome itself was beautiful and as the name suggests, huge. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom and our sons stayed in the loft (they loved the slide!). Watching the sunrise in the morning (while staying warm under our heated blankets) was the best part of our stay! We also got plenty of use out of the grill. I brought a Cast iron skillet with me from home make pancakes on in the morning - there was a full sized fridge to store our food in so we actually only went out to eat once during our stay when we were in downtown. There is a coffee maker that takes pods so make sure to bring yours! Also make sure to bring a flashlight- we forgot ours and bought one on our second day, which meant the first night the boys had to use our cell phone lights to walk outside of the dome. (There are lights inside) Highlights: the views, the mooing cows we never saw, comfy beds, playing twister for the first time since 1990, sunrise. Thank you for a trip we’ll never forget!

Check, Check and Check

Was this the most unique place I've ever laid my head? yes. Was the view amazing? yes. Did I go down the slide a million times even though I just turned 30? yup. Had an awesome time with my 3 best friends here celebrating my 30th b-day! property was GORGEOUS, a million stars at night, and it was a short uber ride into downtown. We'll be back for ya Asheville Glamping!

Great time!

What a beautiful place! We stayed here for four nights with our best friends and their kids. We wanted to find a unique rental this year for our annual friend getaway and this was beyond perfect! We would have spent at least this much (probably more) on two cramped hotel rooms downtown so I feel like this was well worth it- so much better than a hotel room. Beds are super comfy- view is amazing. Kids obviously LOVED the slide! We also enjoyed picking blackberries around the property, tubing the French broad (we used Zen tubing), visiting Sierra Nevada and New Belgium Breweries, breakfast at Biscuit Head and Navitat Zip lining. We'll be back!

Yay!! So glad that ya'll enjoyed the Dome :) We look forward to having you back!

Last fling before the ring!

Booked this dome for my best friends bachelorette party weekend- we had the BEST time here. The owners were super accommodating and responsive while we called a million times in the few months before our trip- seriously saint like patience! The beds are comfy, the girls who slept on the pull outs also had no complaints! We had heated blankets that were provided in case it got chilly but we didn’t need to turn them on. My only suggestion would be some more signage on the property. Can’t wait to come back for my own bachelorette party - as soon as I find a fiancé 😂

Beautiful Views!

We booked this Dome the very day the booking calendar opened up for 2019 last summer. I am so glad we did because by the time we arrived in March almost every night for the rest of the year was booked!! It was just my husband and I on this trip and we had a really lovely time. The dome is quite large and the mountain view from the front window was stunning. I’d love to come back here with some friends as there’s plenty of space and a separate sleeping area upstairs (we did try out both the upstairs and downstairs beds over our four night stay). Other reviewers are telling the truth- the sunrise view is incredible! Highly recommend and look forward to making this an annual trip.

Unique winter getaway

My 15 year old daughter was the one who found this unique dome and begged for us to book it until we caved!! Honestly this would not have been my first choice as I prefer traditional cabins over "unique" or anything even close to camping- but I was out voted. If my kids were writing this review it would be five stars, but I did miss having normal thermostats, a full kitchen, or a hot tub so I'm giving it 4 stars for that reason--note that these things were not missed by the rest of my family. That being said, my expectations were exceeded and this did end up being one of the better family vacations we have had. The lack of television meant that we spent more time talking and the kids actually stayed off of their devices for a record time period of 40 hours. If you are a parent then you know just how impressive that is! The beds were comfortable and the master bedroom gave Mom and Dad a little privacy from our three kids. I'd even consider doing this again- but more likely in the Spring, Summer or fall.

Enjoyed very much

My husband has contracts in the area so he has to come to Asheville a few times a year. I was able to take a few days off of work to come with him on this trip and I had actually found this Dome through As an architect I was fascinated by the geodesic dome structure so we jumped at the chance to stay here. The Dome is very spacious, clean, and modern. Loved sitting on the couches and reading...something I'm normally too distracted to do. Felt so peaceful. It was rainy and foggy when we arrived with nothing much to look at, but the next day we woke up to the most spectacular sunrise and Mountain View! I will say it got a little chilly at night, which we expected. Slept warm with the heated blanket. My husband is already making plans for us to come back to stay in their tree house which we saw them working on during our stay!
